My name is Ben Hampson, and I am designing a wheel hub incorporating a GMN sprag clutch for the Off-Road Illini Baja SAE team at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Thank you for your support thus far. Our suspension lead, Tyler Engel, recently spoke with one of your colleagues regarding sprag options. Since I have taken over as the lead for this design, I would like to continue that collaboration.
It would be great to schedule another brief meeting with the same colleague, or someone with similar expertise, to discuss sprag clutch implementation. Specifically, we would appreciate feedback on the suitability of the FR 473 M for our application, along with guidance on packaging, sealing, and durability in an off-road Baja SAE environment.
