Margaret was the team’s first 4WD car, which introduced a huge number of design challenges to overcome. During this season, the team tackled difficult issues involved with powering the front wheels; new components were needed that we had never designed before, and many pre-existing parts had to be completely redesigned. Despite these challenges coupled with an ongoing pandemic, Margaret was completed and able to compete at Louisville. Margaret faced stiff competition but still placed well. The car suffered serious damage at the end of the race and was put out of commission for a significant time while the team focused on the next year’s design.
